  1. yea I know when my pet is in pain, the problem is that she can spot a pill in ANYTHING! I've tried to hide it in a small amount of peanut butter but she spits it out! in food? She eats around it! dissolve it in water and syringe it in her mouth and she vomits it!

  2. Will she allow you to physically pop the pill down her mouth? To stop her from bringing the pill up you could do it just before a meal and put the food in front of her immediately after the pill is given. Otherwise, you could speak with her vet to see if she is eligible for pain injections.

  3. I have no problem popping pills directly down the throat of my dogs. I was, however, given a tip once that if you feed with food - wrap cold pill in warm food. I don't know if it works!!

  4. Consider talking to your veterinarian about organising a compounding pharmacist to compound the drug into something palatable for dogs.
